LGBTQ+ Unpaid Carers Peer Support Group
Meet other unpaid carers and chat in a relaxed and informal setting. This group is chance to meet other unpaid LGBTQ+ carers, and chat in a relaxed and informal setting.
Meetings are on the second Saturday of each month from 3-5pm.
What you can expect:
These meetups involve group socialising for two hours, but you are welcome to take a break whenever needed. We will usually be sitting on chairs around a table, but can sometimes be a little loud if there are other groups there.
We will usually be sitting on chairs around a table, but can move to the sofa area if it's free and it suits our access needs better.
If there are a lot of us, we might split into two smaller groups to chat. Unfortunately the group can't provide a BSL interpreter.
This is not a masked event, but wearing a respirator mask is recommended as it will protect both us and the people we care for. Other groups will be present in the centre during our meeting and they will not be masked.
About the facilitator
Ashwin (they/he) is the main contact for the event but this is a non-heirarchical group.
