My Genderation: Trans Joy on Screen
A screening of My Genderation shorts, including Life of Kai, plus a Q&A with Lewis Hancox and a merch stall supporting future films. My Genderation is an ongoing documentary film project and creative team co-founded by Fox Fisher and Lewis Hancox. Dedicated to celebrating trans lives authentically, the project has produced over 100 films, short documentaries, and campaigns for networks like the BBC, Channel 4, Stonewall, and the NHS.
Lewis Hancox is the assistant director and co‑founder of My Genderation, an award‑winning documentary project dedicated to authentically celebrating trans lives. Alongside Fox Fisher, Lewis has helped create more than 100 films, short documentaries and campaigns for major organisations including the BBC, Channel 4, Stonewall and the NHS.
At this event, Lewis will present a curated hour of short My Genderation films, including the new documentary Life of Kai, a decade‑long chronicle following Kai, a young trans boy growing up amid the shifting landscape of trans rights in the UK. The film explores identity, acceptance, medical transition and the pursuit of happiness with honesty and heart.
Following the screenings, Lewis will host a Q&A and run a My Genderation merch stall featuring comic books created by him and Fox Fisher. He’ll be available to chat, meet attendees and sign books.
