London bbs… we’re back home! This Friday 14th August, we’re taking over Dalston Superstore once again. POPOLA is more than a party. It’s a movement by and for diasporic queens and queers. A space where Afro-Caribbean and Latinx culture isn’t just celebrated, it’s lived. Where your background, your body, your accent, and your joy don’t just fit… they lead. We’re bringing the heat and the heart. Because celebration and collective care don’t exist on opposite sides of the dancefloor. They belong together. This edition is especially close to our hearts as we come together in solidarity with Venezuela. Throughout the night, we’ll be raising funds for Impaktemos Venezuela to support communities affected by the recent earthquake. Expect the full Twerk Temple treatment. Heavy Afro, Latin, and Caribbean sounds all night long with non-stop reggaeton, baile funk, soca, dembow, Afro House, guaracha, dancehall, bouyon +MORE. As always, Twerk Temple is a judgment-free safer space centering Black, Brown, queer, and trans joy. We have zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination of any kind.
